HIVE puts the visitor next to a swirling mass of amorphous human figures, appearing as an interconnected meta-body or hive more than as individuated beings. Building on a minimal sound concept, the choreographed motion-, light- and sonic patterns of HIVE create a highly dynamic figurative landscape, a pulsing audiovisual matter, without, it appears, either beginning or end. In a macabre reversal of the missing-limb phenomenon, two unmatched prosthetic legs from different periods, one gendered male the other female, imply a disarticulated human form.
