Plasti Plast, 140 cast objects, 14"x6"x9", rocking and going nowhere. The Plasti project admits to existential anxiety. As in Beckett’s Rockaby, "Woman’s rocking chair" and "incongruous headdress" can only rock so long. Plaster, electrical wire, cleaning brush hair, rubber gaskets and other domestic services waste. 'Surface Tension' for the USU Life Sciences building deploys cast glass to evoke the materiality of water... water, because there is no biological system without it and it is therefore crucial to the study of life sciences.
