Since 2019, Leonardo/ISAST has partnered with Arizona State University, working toward the convergence of arts, sciences, and technology for the benefit of all. As a part of this historic collaboration, Leonardo at ASU partnered with the Humanities Lab and Global Futures Lab to create an initiative called Seize the Moment. This initiative is designed to address the challenges of the current moment through transdisciplinary arts, science, technological, and humanities collaborations in pedagogy, research, and public engagement.

Faculty Research Seed grants are one of the ways this initiative addresses current challenges. These grants provide ASU faculty with the opportunity to apply for up to $10,000 to support collaborative, transdisciplinary research projects and activities that address the intersecting social, environmental, and health crises of the syndemic.
