He has edited Guy Debord and the Situationist International: Texts and Documents (MIT Press, 2002) and, with Aruna D'Souza, The Invisible Flâneuse? Gender, Public Space and Visual Culture in Nineteenth-Century Paris (Manchester, 2006). He was a Getty Postdoctoral Fellow during 2004–2005, researching his forthcoming book, The Beautiful Language of My Century: Reinventing the Language of Contestation in Postwar France (forthcoming, MIT Press).
