Yates McKee is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University.
An alumnus of the Whitney Independent Study Program and frequent participant at 16 Beaver Group, he is the author of articles on the work of Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla. Forthcoming texts include “The Sleep of Reason: Paul Chan's Post-Secular Art” (to accompany the Video Data Bank edition of Paul Chan's Tin Drum Trilogy), and “Art and the Ends of Environmentalism: From Biosphere to the Right to Survival” in Non-Governmental Politics, Michel Feher and Gaelle Krikorian, eds. (Zone Books).
