Howard Singerman
Howard Singerman is associate professor of art and art history at the University of Virginia, and the author of Art Subjects: Making Artists in the American University (University of California, 1999). His writing on Mike Kelley has appeared in Mike Kelley: Catholic Tastes (Abrams, 1993), and in the catalog for his recent retrospective at the Wiels Centre d'Art Contemporain, Brussels, Mike Kelley: Educational Complex Onwards, 1995–2008 (JRP Ringier, 2008).
