Dancing With or Without You

Amita Nijhawan teaches in the Dance, Film and Theatre department at the University of Surrey, Guildford. She completed her PhD in Dance Studies at the University of California, Riverside. Her research, which includes upcoming articles in the Journal of South Asian Popular Culture and Body and Society, focuses on the impact of globalization and migration on women performing evolving sexual identities in contemporary South Asian culture, including classical dance and popular cinema.
