John Freedman
John Freedman has written or edited nine books on Russian theater, including Silence's Roar: The Life and Drama of Nikolai Erdman, Moscow Performances: The New Russian Theater 1991–1996, and Provoking Theater: Kama Ginkas Directs, co-authored with Ginkas. His play translations have been produced in the United States, Canada, Australia and England. He is the Russian Director of the New Russian Drama: Voices in a Shifting Age project.
