Michal Kobialka
Michal Kobialka is Professor of Theatre in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota. He has published over seventy-five articles on medieval, eighteenth-century, and contemporary European theatre, and theatre historiography. He is the author of A Journey Through Other Spaces: Essays and Manifestos, 1944–1990; Further on, Nothing: Tadeusz Kantor's Theatre; and This Is My Body: Representational Practices in the Early Middle Ages; the editor of Of Borders and Thresholds: Theatre History, Practice, and Theory, a co-editor (with Barbara Hanawalt) of Medieval Practices of Space, and a cc-editor of Theatre/Performance Historiography: Time, Space, Matter. Over the years, he has published numerous essays about Tadeusz Kantor's theatre and visual arts practices, and the translations of Kantor's writings and intimate commentaries, in PAJ.
