Steve Reich, Richard Serra, and the Discovery of Process Unavailable

Michael Maizels is assistant professor of art history at the University of Arkansas. He has organized exhibitions of art and music, including recent installations produced by Guido van der Werve and Francesc Torres, as well as historical works by La Monte Young, Terry Riley, Marcel Duchamp, and Bruce Nauman. He is at work on his second book, Radical Composition, which will address interrelationships among artists and composers such as Dan Flavin, Sol LeWitt, Richard Serra, La Monte Young, Steve Reich, and Meredith Monk.
