Annie-B Parson co-founded Big Dance Theater in 1991, and has made over twenty works for the Company, touring nationally and internationally. She has made work for opera, ballet, theatre, symphonies, string quartets, marching bands, TV, movies, museums, objects, and a choir of one thousand amateur performers. Among the many artists whose work she has made dances for are Mikhail Baryshnikov, David Byrne, David Bowie, St. Vincent, Laurie Anderson, Jonathan Demme, Ivo van Hove, Sarah Ruhl, Lucas Hnath, Wendy Whelan, David Lang, Esperanza Spalding, Suzan-Lori Parks, Mark Dion, and Salt-N-Pepa. She has created two large scale works for the Martha Graham Dance Company.
