Okwui Okpokwasili have collaborated on several works which have toured throughout the United States and Europe, including Poor People's TV Room, when I return who will receive me, and two Bessie Award-winning productions: pent-up: a revenge dance and Bronx Gothic. Some of Okpokwasili's other residencies and awards include the Randjelovic/Stryker New York Live Arts’ Resident Commissioned Artist, the Hodder Fellowship at Princeton University, MANCC's Choreographic Fellowship, NYFA Fellowship in Choreography, LMCC's Extended Life Program, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts’ Artist Grant in Dance, and the Wesleyan ICPP Artist in Residency.
