Lygia Clark: Between Spectator and Participant

Ana María León is a PhD student in the History, Theory and Criticism of Architecture and Art group at MIT Architecture. Her current research deals with other modernities—alternative histories, paths not taken, unrealized plans, thwarted efforts—and the modernities of others—agency and production, political design vs. theoretical agendas, mistranslations. She has an architecture diploma from the Universidad Católica in Guayaquil, a Master in Architecture from Georgia Tech and a Master in Design Studies with distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She has led studios at Georgia Tech, Harvard University, Veneto Experience, and Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo, and worked in architecture firms in Atlanta, New York, and Guayaquil.
