Carlos Martín has worked in academic, government, and private sectors in the areas of technological and social change related to the design and construction industry, particularly in relation to affordable housing. Trained as an architect, construction engineer and historian of technology, he studies the cultural and industrial barriers to technological change—including those related to class, race, and nationality.
