Ash Moniz
Ash Moniz is an artist and writer based in Cairo. Through installation,
performance, video and film, their artistic practice looks at the modes of representability
and constitutions of time that shape the securitization of supply-chain logistics. Their
exhibition history includes solo exhibitions such as Townhouse Gallery (Cairo) and Sishang
Museum (Beijing), along with group exhibitions at Berlinale: Forum Expanded (Berlin), and
the Dak’art Biennale (Dakar). Ash taught at Cairo Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences
and has been writing art criticism for Mada Masr since 2016. Ash is currently an
artist-in-residence at Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen in Innsbruck, Austria.
