Hou Chi-Chia is a third-year PhD student in Architecture at UCLA AUD. His
research interest focuses on the historical condition in which (business) strategy became
disciplinary, assuming universal applicability, and eventually commodified. This interest
has led him to investigate the interaction between conglomerate businesses, research
consultancies, and design services from the 1950s to 1970s.
