Dane Carlson is a landscape designer and researcher whose work advo- cates for just, co-adaptive landscape relations in Nepal. He is Assistant Professor in Studio Art at Principia College and Environmental Design Strategist at the United Nations Office for Project Services Nepal. His ongoing work includes scholarship on herder landscape agency in the trans-Himalayan Mustang region and the design of open-ended flood adaptation processes in Nepal’s southern plains.
Tshewang Tamang is a landscape designer based in Portland, Oregon. With a background in architecture, Tshewang has previously worked on projects ranging from private residential design to community work in post-disaster reconstruction. He earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon. His work focuses on the study of productive green infrastructure, resilient design, and design justice.
