Temperate Infrastructures and Thermal Control

Rafico Ruiz is the Associate Director of Research at the Canadian Centre for Architecture. His work explores settler colonialism and infrastructure in the circumpolar world, as well as contemporary environmental issues related to the phase states of ice. Ruiz is the author of Slow Disturbance: Infrastructural Mediation on the Settler Colonial Resource Frontier, and the co-editor of Saturation: An Elemental Politics, both published by Duke University Press in 2021.
