Ana María León
Ana María León is a PhD candidate in the History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture at MIT. She has an architecture diploma from Universidad Católica de Guayaquil, a Master in Architecture from Georgia Tech, and a Master in Design Studies with distinction from the Harvard GSD. Her scholarly work traces the friction between design and political agendas, it has been published in Log, thresholds, PLOT, and JAE. She is currently working on her dissertation, which maps discussions on Surrealism, Freudian psychoanalysis, totalitarianism, and migration in Buenos Aires as they were represented in the housing projects of Catalan architect Antonio Bonet.
