Reiner Smolinski, Professor of Early American Literature at Georgia State University in Atlanta, is the General Editor of colonial America's first commentary on the Bible, Cotton Mather's Biblia Americana (1693–1728). He is also writing a new intellectual biography of Mather for Yale University Press.
