Diane G. Scholl is Professor Emerita of English at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. Her publications include articles on Emily Dickinson's use of Biblical typology and the conversion narratives of women in her time, as well as essays on Nathaniel and Sophia Peabody Hawthorne. Currently, she is researching Charlotte Bronte's interest in Chartism and in American slave narratives.
