Stephen A. Marini is Elisabeth Luce Moore Professor of Christian Studies at Wellesley College. He is the author of Radical Sects of Revolutionary New England (1982) and Sacred Song in America: Religion, Music and Public Culture (2003), general editor of The Norumbega Harmony: Historic and Contemporary Hymn Tunes and Anthems From the New England Singing School Tradition (2003),and contributing editor for sacred music for The Grove Dictionary of American Music, 2nd Ed. (2013).
