W. Bruce Leslie
W. Bruce Leslie is a State University of New York Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of History at The College at Brockport. His scholarship focuses on the social history of private and public colleges and universities. Among his contributions to the history of higher education are Gentlemen and Scholars: College and Community in the “Age of the University,” 1865–1915 and SUNY at Sixty: The Promise of the State University of New York (co-edited with John B. Clark and Kenneth P. O'Brien).
