Abstract
Inspired by Robert Lee and Tristan Ahtone's “Land-Grab Universities” (High Country News, March 2020), this essay examines how a small Vermont secondary school, Thetford Academy, is deeply connected to colonialism and Indigenous land dispossession, inviting readers to examine how their own local schools and institutions are similarly implicated.
