We implemented two treatment variations. The first treatment variable was the deterrence variable , which was either 6, 6, or 12. The second concerned the dynamic or static nature of the flight-or-fight game. This gives a design. Every subject participated in only one of the treatments. In total, 360 subjects participated, with seven or eight independent matching groups per treatment. Table 1 presents an overview.
