Arnold Rubin encouraged everyone to appreciate all visual culture. His students helped decorate floats for the Rose Parade in Pasadena and documented the Memorial Day offerings on veterans' graves. In this 1985 photograph, Rubin poses at Forest Lawn Cemetery (Glendale) looking up at the Founder's Statement stone, as if sharing it with the children represented in the sculpture.
