This bar graph presents the correlation between elite seed fitness in the final generation and elite seed productivity in the final generation. The productivity of an elite seed is measured by the number of ashes it creates. The correlation between fitness and productivity (0.706) is high and significant. We evaluate the statistical significance of the correlation using a two-tailed Student t test for Pearson correlations. The correlation is based on comparing two samples of 48 values each (4 layers × 12 runs).
